Arthur T. Tergesen represents hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices, corporations and individuals in a wide range of complex disputes and crisis situations.  

Arthur has particular experience handling matters involving fraud allegations, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, commercial disputes, executive employment issues as well as criminal and civil litigation.

Arthur is a New York State Certified Public Accountant, and prior to law school he worked at an accounting firm specializing in the taxation of corporations and high net worth individuals. Before joining Bohrer PLLC, Arthur worked at a boutique litigation and business law firm, where he handled a multitude of civil actions through all phases of litigation. Arthur has perfected appeals in the First and Second Departments, and has argued motions in Courts throughout the five boroughs.

Arthur graduated law school with a certification in criminal law with distinction. While in law school, he interned for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, the New York County District Attorney’s Office, and the Honorable William Wall of the Eastern District of New York. During his final year of law school, Arthur served as a Research Assistant to the Honorable Barry Kamins, and was responsible for identifying cases for the Judge’s comprehensive textbook on New York’s search and seizure jurisprudence.
